Suspect shot, critically injured in robbery outside of east Birmingham restaurant

A confrontation outside an east Birmingham restaurant ended with a robbery suspect being shot and critically injured. The altercation occurred in the restaurant's parking lot, drawing a rapid response from local police officers.
