Suspect Charged in Armed Robbery of Roxbury Convenience Store and Delivery Driver
BOSTON, MA โ A Methuen man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of violent incidents in Roxbury, including the armed robbery of a local convenience store and the robbery of a food delivery driver, Boston police announced.
The convenience store robbery took place on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at approximately 10:52 p.m. at the Cristian Convenience Store located at 411 Blue Hill Avenue. According to police reports, two suspects entered the store. One of the suspects brandished a black handgun, pointed it at the store clerk, and moved behind the counter. The second suspect jumped over the counter, emptied cash from the register, and stole the employeeโs personal wallet and cell phone before both suspects fled on foot toward Devon Street.
Following an intensive investigation, detectives from District B-2 (Roxbury) identified one of the suspects as 21-year-old Anthony Echavarria-Ramirez of Methuen, Massachusetts. Investigators also linked Echavarria-Ramirez to a separate armed robbery that occurred earlier on the same day, in which a food delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint in the vicinity of 75 Humboldt Avenue.
On July 8, 2025, members of the Boston Police Departmentโs Youth Violence Strike Force, alongside the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit, executed an arrest warrant at an apartment in Dorchester, taking Echavarria-Ramirez into custody without incident. He has been charged with armed robbery and larceny and was held following his arraignment in Boston Municipal Court.
Police are still seeking the public's assistance in identifying the second suspect involved in the Cristian Convenience Store robbery. Anyone with information is urged to contact the District B-2 Detective Bureau at (617) 343-4275 or submit anonymous tips to the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS (8477).
