FBI Boston Task Force Seeks Public Assistance in Identifying Danvers CVS Pharmacy Robbery Suspect

DANVERS, MA — The FBI Boston Division’s Violent Crimes Task Force, in partnership with the Danvers Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police, is appealing to the public for help in identifying a suspect involved in a commercial pharmacy robbery.

The armed robbery took place on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at approximately 5:17 PM at the CVS Pharmacy located at 1 Maple Street in Danvers, Massachusetts, within the Boston metropolitan area. According to investigators, a man entered the store, approached the pharmacy counter, and brandished a silver handgun at the staff.

Narcotics Heist and Suspect Description

The suspect pointed the firearm at the pharmacist on duty and demanded that they open the safe containing prescription narcotics. After obtaining a large quantity of prescription medication, the robber stuffed the bottles into a black bag and fled the store through a rear exit. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the confrontation.

Federal agents and local police have released descriptions of the suspect obtained from surveillance systems. The individual is described as:

• A white male with a thin build
• Wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt under a dark-colored jacket
• Khaki pants
• A black face mask and a black hat

Authorities warning the public indicated that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. In a related update, law enforcement officials later arrested and charged a North Andover man in connection with the heist following a detailed forensic review of the getaway route.
