Boston Police Blotter: Multiple Teenagers Arrested Following Boylston Street Commercial Thefts
BOSTON, MA โ A series of commercial break-ins and retail thefts along the Boylston Street commercial corridor resulted in the arrest of several teenagers, according to the Boston Police Department's District D-4 blotter.
The arrests took place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, after officers responded to multiple reports of active commercial burglaries and shoplifting incidents in progress. Store managers on Boylston Street alerted authorities to a group of young individuals who were entering retail establishments, grabbing merchandise, and attempting to flee the area on foot.
Responding officers located the suspects near the intersection of Boylston and Exeter Streets. Following a brief pursuit, police apprehended three juveniles. Investigators recovered several items of stolen designer apparel and electronics, which were subsequently returned to the affected businesses. The suspects, whose names have been withheld due to their juvenile status, are facing charges including commercial breaking and entering, larceny over $1,200, and receiving stolen property.
Community leaders and business owners in the Back Bay neighborhood have expressed growing concerns over juvenile-related retail crime, prompting the Boston Police Department to increase its foot patrols and visibility in the area. The arrested teens were processed according to juvenile court procedures and are expected to appear in Boston Juvenile Court to answer to the charges.
The Boston Police Department continues to investigate whether these individuals are linked to similar commercial break-ins reported in the Back Bay and Downtown Crossing areas over the past month. Anyone with additional information or surveillance footage of the incidents is encouraged to contact District D-4 detectives at (617) 343-4683.
