Cape Coral Medical Cannabis Dispensary Targeted in Attempted Weekend Break-In

CAPE CORAL, FL — Police are investigating an attempted break-in at a medical cannabis dispensary in Cape Coral that took place over the weekend of July 29, 2025.

According to security footage and store representatives, multiple suspects attempted to force entry through a rear door of the dispensary. However, the store’s reinforced commercial security system, including impact-resistant security film and heavy-duty locks, successfully prevented the perpetrators from entering the facility.

Although the suspects failed to breach the interior and no products or cash were stolen, the attempt caused significant damage to the exterior doors. The Cape Coral Police Department has gathered forensic evidence from the scene and is seeking any dashcam or residential security footage from nearby streets that might have captured the suspects' vehicle during the incident.
