Charlotte Police Search for Trio Accused in Pawn Shop Jewelry Theft

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina — Authorities in Charlotte are asking for the public's assistance in identifying three suspects involved in a quick-strike burglary at a local pawn shop, where high-value jewelry was stolen.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the incident involved a group of three individuals who entered the store together. Within moments of entering, the suspects targeted the jewelry section, using tools to smash open glass display cases. The thieves grabbed multiple pieces of jewelry before running out of the store and fleeing the scene in an awaiting vehicle.

Investigators have released surveillance photographs of the three suspects in hopes that community members will recognize them. The images show the suspects wearing hoods and face coverings, but police believe their clothing and physical statures could help in identification. The pawn shop owner is currently assessing the total value of the stolen goods, which is believed to be substantial.
