CMPD Seeks Identification of Suspect in East Charlotte Walmart Robbery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are asking for the public's help to identify a man accused of robbing a Walmart store in east Charlotte.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the Walmart location on May 21, 2025, and committed a robbery before fleeing the premises. While officers responded promptly to the call, the suspect had already left the scene. Details regarding the exact amount stolen or whether a weapon was brandished have not been fully released by authorities.

CMPD has released surveillance images of the suspect captured by the store's security cameras. Detectives are asking anyone who may recognize the individual, or who was in the vicinity of the Walmart on the afternoon of May 21 and noticed suspicious activity, to contact Crime Stoppers immediately. All tips can be submitted anonymously, and a reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
