Video Surveillance Captures Group Looting Charlotte Smoothie Shop

CHARLOTTE, NC — Investigators with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are reviewing surveillance video after a group of individuals broke into a local smoothie shop in Charlotte on September 8, 2025.

The incident, which occurred during the early morning hours, was captured on the business's high-definition security cameras. The footage shows several suspects coordinating their efforts to breach the shop's entrance. Once inside, the group systematically grabbed merchandise, cash, and other store property before fleeing the scene in multiple directions.

The business owner expressed frustration over the break-in, noting that the cost of repairing the damaged storefront, combined with the value of the stolen goods, represents a significant setback for the local shop. Police are analyzing the video footage to identify the suspects, who appeared to have their faces partially covered during the heist.
