Cheyenne Man Arrested After Jumping Burger King Counter in Robbery Attempt

CHEYENNE, Wyoming โ€” A local Cheyenne resident faces felony charges following an incident at a local Burger King restaurant on April 18, 2026. The Cheyenne Police Department arrested the suspect after he allegedly jumped over the counter and demanded money from employees.

According to police reports, officers responded to a robbery call at the fast-food establishment during the afternoon hours. Witnesses reported that a man entered the premises, bypassed the ordering queue, and leaped over the counter separating the kitchen and cash register area from the public lobby.

Once behind the counter, the suspect confronted the staff and demanded cash from the registers. Employees immediately moved to safety and alerted law enforcement. Police arrived quickly on the scene, securing the area and taking the suspect into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported among the staff or customers present during the encounter.

The suspect has been officially charged with robbery. He is currently being held at the Laramie County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
