Stolen Property Recovered from Cheyenne Storage Units After suspicious U-Haul Investigation

CHEYENNE, Wyoming — The Cheyenne Police Department has successfully recovered a significant quantity of stolen property from multiple local storage units following a vehicle investigation on April 15, 2026. The breakthrough came after officers initially discovered a suspicious U-Haul truck parked in the area.

The incident began when patrol officers spotted the U-Haul vehicle and conducted a preliminary investigation into its status and contents. Due to inconsistencies in the driver's story and evidence of suspicious activity, officers expanded their investigation to nearby storage facilities.
