ATM Targeted in Gage Park Marquette Bank Burglary

Chicago police are investigating an overnight bank burglary in the Gage Park neighborhood, where thieves targeted an automated teller machine (ATM) at a local financial institution.

The incident occurred at the Marquette Bank branch located on South Kedzie Avenue. According to police reports, the suspects forced entry into the bank's ATM vestibule or outer enclosure during the late evening or early morning hours. Utilizing specialized tools, they successfully breached the ATM's cash vault and extracted an undisclosed amount of currency before fleeing the scene.

Marquette Bank staff are cooperating with the Chicago Police Department to assess the damage and provide surveillance video of the incident. Area One detectives are leading the investigation, looking for links to similar ATM burglaries in the region. No bank employees or customers were present during the break-in, and no injuries were reported.
