Lincoln Park Boutique Hit in Double Commercial Burglary Incident

CHICAGO — Police are investigating a commercial burglary at a retail boutique in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood on the North Side. The break-in was part of a double commercial burglary incident reported in the area early Monday morning, April 27, 2026.

According to the Chicago Police Department, officers arrived at the boutique to find a shattered front glass door. Inside, the cash register had been targeted and ransacked. Investigators believe the perpetrators operated quickly, targeting easily accessible cash and merchandise before fleeing before police could arrive on the scene.

Business owners in the Lincoln Park commercial district have voiced concern over the speed and boldness of the break-ins. The police department has advised local merchants to secure their premises, keep interior lights on overnight, and empty cash registers at the end of the business day. Area Three Detectives are reviewing security footage from nearby traffic cameras and businesses in hopes of identifying the suspects.
