Thieves Break Into Bronzeville Liquor Store and Steal Cash Registers

CHICAGO โ€” A liquor store in the Bronzeville neighborhood on Chicago's South Side was targeted by thieves who made off with two cash registers early Sunday morning, police said.

The burglary occurred at Ziad Certified Liquor, situated on 47th Street near Vincennes Avenue. Police reported that suspects broke into the retail establishment, quickly grabbed two cash registers containing an undisclosed amount of cash, and fled the premises.

Responding officers secured the scene and began canvassing the area for potential witnesses or security cameras that may have captured the break-in. No injuries were reported in connection with the burglary. The investigation is being handled by Area One Detectives, who are looking into local camera feeds to track the suspects' path of escape.

As retail theft and commercial break-ins continue to affect neighborhood businesses, CPD is asking anyone with details about this incident to step forward.
