Alo Yoga Boutique on Chicago's Magnificent Mile Hit by Commercial Thieves

CHICAGO, IL — The Chicago Police Department is investigating a commercial theft at the Alo Yoga store on the city's Magnificent Mile, marking another incident in a series of retail crimes targeting high-profile retailers along the famous shopping strip.

The incident occurred on the morning of July 1, 2025, shortly after the store opened for business. According to police reports, several individuals entered the retail space at the 700 block of North Michigan Avenue and began loading large quantities of premium activewear, including leggings, jackets, and accessories, into shopping bags they had brought with them.

Quick Departure and Investigation

Store employees observed the suspects bypass the cash registers and head directly toward the exit. The suspects did not display weapons, and no injuries were reported. After leaving the premises, the individuals fled on foot before entering a waiting dark-colored sedan parked nearby.
