Chicago Police Seek Suspects After 3 Northwest Side Businesses Burglarized

CHICAGO — Chicago Police detectives are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects linked to a string of commercial burglaries on the city's Northwest Side.

According to community alerts issued by the Chicago Police Department, the two suspects targeted three separate businesses in a single night. The break-ins took place during the early morning hours, with the thieves forcing entry through front glass doors or windows.

Three Businesses Hit in Rapid Succession

The suspects focused on retail and service businesses on the Northwest Side, moving quickly from one storefront to the next. Once inside, they targeted cash registers, safes, and valuable electronics. Police have released surveillance footage showing two individuals dressed in dark hoodies, masks, and gloves carrying tools to pry open doors.

Business owners in the affected commercial districts are sharing security video online to warn other merchants. The rapid succession of these break-ins suggests the suspects had pre-planned their route and targets.

Police Crime Prevention Advice

The Chicago Police Department has advised Northwest Side merchants to secure all entry points, use reinforced security gates, and avoid leaving large sums of cash inside registers overnight. Anyone with information or surveillance footage that could assist in identifying the suspects is urged to contact Area Five Detectives.
