Logan Square's Barbaro Mexican Restaurant Targeted in Apparent Break-In

CHICAGO, IL โ€” Chicago police are actively investigating an apparent commercial break-in and potential burglary that targeted a popular neighborhood dining spot in Logan Square during the post-Christmas holiday week.

Officers were dispatched to Barbaro Mexican Restaurant, located on North Avenue, following reports of property damage and signs of unauthorized entry. According to initial police reports, responding units discovered evidence of forced entry at the establishment. Investigators are working to determine if any property, cash, or valuables were stolen from the premises during the incident.

Logan Square has seen a series of commercial burglaries and retail thefts in recent months, raising concern among local business owners. Detectives are currently reviewing available surveillance footage from nearby establishments and asking anyone with information regarding the break-in to contact Area Five Detectives.
