Crash-and-Grab Burglars Target Foot Locker Store on South Martin Luther King Drive

CHICAGO, IL โ€” Police are investigating a crash-and-grab burglary at a Foot Locker store in the 3300-block of South Martin Luther King Drive. The incident occurred during the early morning hours, causing significant damage to the storefront and disrupting local retail operations.

According to police reports, the suspects used a vehicle to break through the front doors of the business. Once inside, they quickly gathered merchandise before fleeing the scene in one or more vehicles. Glass fragments and damaged structural columns were visible at the scene as officers secured the area for evidence collection.

No suspects are currently in custody, and it is unclear how much merchandise was taken. The Chicago Police Department is reviewing security camera footage from the store and surrounding properties to identify the individuals involved. This incident adds to a series of vehicle-ramming retail thefts that have affected stores across the city.
