Chico Police Arrest Pub Break-In Suspect, Link Him to School Vandalism

CHICO, California — Chico police have arrested a man accused of breaking into a popular local establishment, the Park Avenue Pub, and have subsequently linked him to a vandalism incident at Chico Country Day School. The double-incident investigation concluded with the suspect in custody on multiple property damage and burglary charges.

Officers responded early on January 28, 2026, to a report of a break-in at the Park Avenue Pub. Upon arriving, they found evidence of forced entry and property damage inside the pub. A suspect was located nearby shortly after the incident and was detained for questioning.
