University of Cincinnati Students Charged with Breaking into Fifth Third Arena to Steal Alcohol

CINCINNATI, Ohio — Several University of Cincinnati students have found themselves in legal trouble after allegedly breaking into the campus sports arena and stealing alcohol.

University police reported that the incident took place at the Fifth Third Arena, the home of the Cincinnati Bearcats. According to court documents, the students gained unauthorized entry into the facility during the weekend of February 1, 2026. Once inside, they allegedly accessed locked concession or storage areas to retrieve various alcoholic beverages.

Campus security systems and surveillance cameras captured the suspects in the act, allowing officers to identify the students involved. The University of Cincinnati Police Department has filed charges including criminal trespass and theft. The university is also reviewing the incident for potential disciplinary actions under the student code of conduct.
