18-year-old accused of 2 Greater Cincinnati break-ins in about 10 minutes

CINCINNATI, Ohio โ€” Police have arrested an 18-year-old male accused of committing two separate commercial burglaries within a span of ten minutes in Greater Cincinnati. The suspect is currently facing multiple counts of breaking and entering, theft, and criminal damaging.

Rapid Succession of Break-ins

According to police logs, dispatchers received the first alarm from a commercial property after glass break detectors were triggered. A suspect had shattered the front window of the store, grabbed cash from the drawer, and fled. Just ten minutes later, while officers were en route to the first location, a second alarm sounded at another nearby business less than half a mile away. The entry method was identical, with the front window smashed and merchandise stolen.

Quick Arrest and Recovery of Stolen Goods

Responding officers spotted the suspect running on foot near the second location. After a short foot chase, the 18-year-old was taken into custody. Police recovered the stolen cash and items, along with burglary tools, on his person. Business owners in the area expressed relief at the rapid police response. The suspect remains in custody at the local detention facility awaiting his preliminary hearing.
