Gas Station Clerk Shoots and Kills Suspected Robber in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio — An attempted robbery at a local gas station ended in gunfire on August 26, 2024, leaving the alleged suspect dead after a clerk acted in self-defense, according to Cincinnati police.

The incident unfolded when a suspect entered the service station convenience store and attempted to rob the clerk. During the confrontation, the clerk, who was armed, discharged a firearm, striking the would-be robber. Emergency medical services responded to the scene, but the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained.

Homicide detectives and forensic investigators cordoned off the gas station for several hours to collect evidence, review security footage, and interview witnesses.
