Suspect Arrested in Business Loop 70 Retail Theft Case

COLUMBIA, Missouri — A suspect wanted in connection with a retail theft has been apprehended by the Columbia Police Department. The arrest marks a key development in an ongoing investigation of a theft that took place at a local business on Business Loop 70.

According to police records, officers responded to the business following reports of shoplifting. The suspect had fled before officers arrived, but investigators were able to identify the individual using surveillance footage and witness descriptions. A warrant was issued, and the suspect was located and arrested on June 24, 2025.
