Wave of Gas Station Armed Robberies in Columbus Leads to Arrests and Court Pleas

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Law enforcement agencies in Columbus are investigating multiple armed robberies at local gas stations, highlighting a worrying trend of violent retail thefts in the city. In one of the reported incidents in western Columbus, a male suspect armed with both a gun and a large hunting knife held up a service station, demanding cash and cigarettes before fleeing. In a related development in south Columbus, a teenage suspect arrested in connection with another gas station heist has pleaded not guilty in court, setting the stage for a trial.
