Woman Steals Man's Wallet and Vehicle After Merion Village Home Break-In

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Police are investigating a burglary in the Merion Village neighborhood after a woman allegedly broke into a residential property, stealing a man's wallet and vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The incident occurred in the historic south-side neighborhood of Merion Village. According to police reports, the suspect gained unauthorized entry into the victim's home. Once inside, she managed to locate and steal the homeowner's wallet along with the keys to his vehicle.

Suspect Flees in Stolen Car

The homeowner discovered the intrusion and realized both his wallet and vehicle were missing. The suspect had already fled the area in the stolen car before officers arrived.

Columbus police detectives are actively reviewing security footage from nearby properties in Merion Village in hopes of identifying the female suspect. Residents have been advised to keep their doors locked and report any suspicious activity in the area.

“Merion Village is a tight-knit community, and we are working to track down the individual responsible for this break-in,” a police representative stated.
