Columbus Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Gas Station Armed Robbery Suspect

COLUMBUS, Georgia — The Columbus Police Department is asking for public assistance to identify a suspect responsible for an armed robbery at a local gas station. The incident occurred on March 15, 2025, when an unidentified individual entered the convenience store and threatened the clerk with a firearm.

According to police reports, the suspect entered the store, brandished a handgun, and demanded cash from the register. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot before officers arrived. The store clerk was shaken but uninjured during the robbery.

Investigators have released surveillance images of the suspect, describing him as a male wearing dark clothing and a mask.
