Two Residents Pistol-Whipped, Suspect Stabbed in Southeast Columbus Home Invasion

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A home invasion in a southeast Columbus neighborhood early Tuesday morning turned violent, leaving multiple people injured, including one of the suspects who was stabbed during the confrontation.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers were called to the scene in the southeast area of the city following reports of a break-in. Upon arrival, police discovered that two residents had been pistol-whipped by the intruders during a physical struggle inside the home.

Violent Struggle Ends in Injuries

During the altercation, one of the residents managed to defend themselves, stabbing one of the suspects. The suspects fled the scene shortly after the violent clash.

Medical personnel treated the two pistol-whipped residents at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. The stabbed suspect later arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment for stab wounds and was subsequently taken into police custody.

“It was a chaotic scene, but the residents fought back to defend their home,” said a spokesperson for the local police department.
