Concord Police Arrest Suspect Linked to Christmas Eve Burglary
CONCORD, NH โ The Concord Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with a burglary that took place on Christmas Eve. The incident, which shook the local neighborhood during the holiday season, had remained under active investigation as detectives worked to identify the perpetrator from surveillance footage and physical evidence left at the scene.
The Christmas Eve Break-In
According to police logs, officers responded to a residential alarm in the late hours of December 24, 2023. Upon arrival, officers discovered signs of forced entry. The homeowner, who was away visiting family for the holidays, returned to find their residence ransacked with valuable personal belongings, electronics, and presents missing from under the Christmas tree.
Investigation and Arrest
Investigators utilized security footage from nearby residences and the home's smart doorbell system to compile a description of the suspect. After distributing the footage internally and seeking public assistance, detectives successfully identified the suspect. On December 26, 2025, police officially apprehended the individual, who now faces charges of felony burglary and receiving stolen property.
Authorities have released a video clip of the suspect approaching the property, hoping it might jog the memory of any additional witnesses who may have seen suspicious vehicle activity in the area on that night. Concord Police Chief emphasized the department's commitment to resolving property crimes, stating that even cases that take time to compile will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
"A burglary on Christmas Eve is particularly invasive, robbing families of their peace of mind during what should be a joyful time. We thank the community for their vigilance and assistance in bringing this suspect to justice."
The suspect is currently being held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections pending an upcoming arraignment at the Merrimack Superior Court.
