Two Charged After Allegedly Stealing $4,000 in Cosmetics from Cordova Ulta Store
CORDOVA, Tennessee — Two individuals are facing theft charges after allegedly stealing approximately $4,000 worth of merchandise from the Ulta Beauty store in Cordova.
The shoplifting incident took place on January 16, 2024. According to police reports, the suspects entered the store and quickly filled bags with high-end cosmetics and perfumes. They then bypassed the cash registers and exited the building without attempting to pay for the items.
Store employees notified police, providing detailed descriptions of the suspects and their getaway vehicle. Investigators were able to track down the vehicle shortly after, leading to the arrest of both individuals and the recovery of the stolen merchandise, valued at $4,000.
Both suspects have been charged with theft of property. Retail theft continues to be a point of emphasis for the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, which works closely with local retail partners to combat organized retail crime in the Cordova area.
