Detroit Police Search for Four Suspects in Harper Avenue Cellphone Store Burglary
DETROIT, Michigan — The Detroit Police Department is requesting help from the community to identify four suspects wanted in connection with a commercial burglary at a cellphone store on the city's east side.
The incident took place in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 24, 2024. According to authorities, the suspects targeted a retail wireless store located in the 9700 block of Harper Avenue shortly after 3:00 a.m. The group managed to force entry into the premises, stealing an undisclosed sum of cash and multiple mobile devices before fleeing the area.
Suspect Descriptions Released
Investigators have compiled and released details of the four individuals captured on surveillance footage:
- Suspect 1: A male wearing all-black clothing and white gloves, who was carrying a large pry bar used to breach the store's entrance.
- Suspect 2: A male of medium build with medium-length locs. He was wearing a blue and black jacket, dark pants, and white athletic shoes.
- Suspect 3: A male of medium build, dressed in a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black shoes.
- Suspect 4: A male of heavier build with medium-length locs, wearing dark-colored clothing.
The Detroit Police Department's 7th Precinct is leading the investigation. Detectives are asking anyone who may recognize the suspects or who has information about the heist to step forward.
