El Paso police arrest 3 in 'jugging' theft of elderly man followed home from Wells Fargo

EL PASO, Texas — Three suspects are in custody following a "jugging" incident that targeted an elderly resident in El Paso. The victim was allegedly followed from a Wells Fargo bank branch to his residence, where the suspects carried out the theft.

Bank jugging refers to a scheme where criminals observe customers carrying large amounts of cash out of financial institutions, follow them to their next destination, and then steal the money from their person or vehicle. In this case, swift action by the El Paso Police Department led to the identification and apprehension of three individuals suspected of coordinating the crime.
