Lower Valley Business Targeted in Coin and Cell Phone Burglary

EL PASO, Texas โ€” A local business in El Paso's Lower Valley fell victim to a burglary in mid-August 2025, prompting an investigation by local law enforcement officers who are working to identify the suspect.

According to police reports, the break-in occurred during the early hours of August 19, 2025. The intruder managed to force entry into the retail establishment, targeting the cash register and electronic devices on the property.

Stolen Items and Property Damage

Upon entering the shop, the burglar ransacked the counter area and stole a quantity of loose coins along with a cellular phone used by the business. While the cash value of the stolen coins was relatively minor, the loss of the communication device and the physical damage to the shop's entry point represent a significant disruption for the local business owner.

Responding officers documented the scene and collected physical evidence. Investigators are currently reviewing security footage from surrounding businesses in the Lower Valley area to obtain a description of the suspect.

Lower Valley Commercial Security

The incident has highlighted ongoing concerns regarding commercial security in the Lower Valley corridor. Local business coalitions are urging shop owners to upgrade security systems, install high-definition cameras, and ensure that no cash or valuables are left in plain sight overnight.

The El Paso Police Department asks anyone with information regarding the burglary, or who observed suspicious activity in the area on the night of the crime, to contact the non-emergency police line or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
