Deputies Investigate Ulta Beauty Thefts; Two Arrested as Search Continues for Third Suspect

EL PASO, Texas — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of retail thefts targeting Ulta Beauty locations, leading to the arrest of two suspects while a third remains at large, authorities announced on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

According to investigators, the theft ring targeted multiple beauty supply stores across the county. A recent heist occurred at the Ulta Beauty store in Far East El Paso. Deputies revealed that one of the suspects involved is also accused of a high-profile jewelry theft at the Cielo Vista Mall. The suspects allegedly entered the store during business hours, quickly filled bags with high-end cosmetics and perfumes, and fled to a waiting vehicle.

Following a coordinated effort between the Sheriff’s Office and local retail loss prevention teams, deputies located and arrested two of the suspects. They have been identified and charged with multiple counts of theft and organized retail crime. A third suspect, who is believed to have acted as the getaway driver, managed to evade capture and remains outstanding.

The retail value of the stolen merchandise from the beauty store is estimated to be in the thousands of dollars. The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the third suspect to contact local authorities. Investigators are also working with merchants in the area to strengthen security measures against organized retail theft groups.
