Suspect Arrested After Burglary at El Paso's Historic Radford School
EL PASO, Texas โ An El Paso man has been arrested and charged after allegedly breaking into the Radford School, a historic educational institution located in the central part of the city.
The incident took place in mid-July 2025, when police received reports of a break-in and unauthorized entry on the private school campus. Officers responded promptly to the scene and conducted a search of the school premises.
Intruder Apprehended on Campus Grounds
According to police statements, responding officers located the suspect inside the facility. The suspect had allegedly bypassed security gates and forced his way into one of the main campus buildings, causing minor property damage. Officers were able to detain the individual without further incident.
Radford School, founded in 1910, is a prominent private school in El Paso, serving students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The break-in raised concerns among staff and parents regarding the vulnerability of school facilities during the summer break, when fewer personnel are on site.
Security Review and Legal Proceedings
Following the arrest, the suspect was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on charges of burglary of a building. School administrators indicated that they would cooperate fully with the police investigation and conduct a thorough review of the campus's physical security measures, including surveillance systems and access control points, to prevent future intrusions.
No injuries were reported during the incident, and police confirmed that no weapons were found on the suspect at the time of the arrest.
