Two Suspects Apprehended in Elyria Vacant Home Burglary
ELYRIA, Ohio โ Two individuals face felony burglary charges after Elyria police officers discovered them inside a vacant residence, authorities confirmed. The arrests highlight ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to monitor empty properties and deter trespassing, vandalism, and theft within residential neighborhoods.
According to police reports, officers responded to a call regarding suspicious activity at a property known to be unoccupied. Upon arrival, officers secured the perimeter and conducted a search of the building, locating the two suspects inside without authorization. Both individuals were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Lorain County Jail on charges of burglary and criminal trespassing.
