Two Apprehended After Armed Robberies at Elyria McDonald's and Gas Station

ELYRIA, Ohio — Two suspects are in custody following a series of armed robberies that targeted a McDonald's restaurant and a local gas station in Elyria, police reported.

Law enforcement responded to an emergency call at the McDonald's location, where employees reported being threatened by armed individuals demanding money. Within a short timeframe, a second call was received regarding a similar robbery at a nearby gas station. Officers flooded the area, utilizing witness descriptions and local surveillance networks to locate the suspects' getaway path.

The two suspects were spotted and intercepted by patrol officers shortly after the second incident. Both individuals were arrested without further violence, and police recovered the stolen funds along with the firearm used in the crimes. Both suspects face multiple counts of aggravated robbery and are being held in the Lorain County Jail pending their initial court appearances.
