Erie police search for suspects who used rifle to rob Buffalo Road food store Tuesday

ERIE, Pa. — Authorities are searching for two masked individuals who used a rifle to rob a food store on Buffalo Road on Tuesday night, prompting an active investigation by the Erie Police Department.

The armed robbery occurred at around 9:45 p.m. at a convenience and food store located in the 2100 block of Buffalo Road. Police reports state that two suspects entered the store with their faces covered. One of the suspects was brandishing a rifle and pointed it at the store clerk while demanding money from the register.

The clerk complied, and the suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and several store items. They were last seen running eastbound on Buffalo Road. No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported during the encounter.

Erie police describe both suspects as thin-build males, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, wearing all-black clothing and masks.
