Fairfield Police Apprehend Robbery and Assault Suspect with Aid of CCTV Network

FAIRFIELD, CA — A suspect wanted in connection with a violent robbery and assault in Fairfield has been taken into custody, thanks to a coordinated effort by local law enforcement and the city's closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance network.

According to the Fairfield Police Department, officers received reports of a physical altercation and robbery. Upon arriving at the scene, officers gathered descriptions of the suspect. Dispatchers and monitoring teams quickly leveraged the city’s camera infrastructure to locate an individual matching the description walking nearby.

Officers were directed to the suspect's precise location and conducted a high-risk stop. The suspect was arrested without further incident. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and recovered property was returned. The suspect has been booked into the Solano County Jail on charges of robbery and assault.
