Two Arrested in Attempted $5K Pawn Shop Theft in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, OH — Two individuals are in custody after a failed attempt to steal thousands of dollars in merchandise from a Fairfield pawn shop. The incident took place on October 8, 2025, and resulted in a rapid response from local law enforcement.

Fairfield Police Department officers were dispatched to the local business following a report of suspicious behavior and active theft. The suspects had allegedly targeted high-value merchandise, attempting to make off with items valued at over $5,000.

Quick Apprehension

Before the suspects could successfully exit the premises or transport the stolen goods, store staff intervened and police units arrived on scene. Both suspects were arrested without further incident, and all merchandise was recovered and returned to the business.
