Charges Filed After Man Brandishes Replica BB Gun in Fargo Smoke Shop Robbery

FARGO, N.D. — A robbery suspect is facing serious felony charges after allegedly using a replica BB gun to threaten employees at a local smoke shop, police authorities reported.

The incident occurred on Monday, when a male suspect entered the business and brandished what appeared to be a genuine firearm, demanding money and goods from the store clerks. Following the robbery, the suspect fled the scene, prompting a rapid search by Fargo Police officers who quickly tracked down the individual nearby.

Upon arresting the suspect, officers recovered the weapon used during the commission of the crime, which was determined to be a replica BB gun. Law enforcement officials noted that the replica was nearly indistinguishable from a lethal firearm, emphasizing the extreme danger such actions present to employees, the public, and responding officers who must make split-second decisions.
