High-Volume Shoplifting at Outlets

The Folsom Premium Outlets continue to be a primary target for retail theft. Over the past week, multiple stores reported thefts involving groups of shoplifters who entered retail spaces, grabbed large quantities of designer clothing and accessories, and fled before store security or police could intervene. HVAC System Stolen from Commercial Site

In a less common incident, thieves targeted a local commercial site, dismantling and stealing a large heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit. Police note that this type of theft requires specialized tools and a vehicle capable of carrying heavy machinery. Detectives are investigating whether the stolen unit was taken for resale or scrap metal value.
