Five Suspects Break into Fort Myers Jewelry Store in Early Morning Heist

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Authorities in Lee County are searching for a group of five individuals who broke into a local jewelry store early Monday morning, escaping with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.

According to initial reports from the Fort Myers Police Department, the commercial burglary occurred in the early hours of March 31, 2025. The suspects, described as five individuals wearing dark, hooded clothing and face coverings, forced entry into the establishment by shattering a front glass pane. Once inside, the group quickly targeted several display cases, smashing the glass and snatching high-value jewelry pieces within a matter of minutes.

Store security footage captured the rapid heist, showing the coordination among the suspects as they systematically emptied the displays before fleeing the scene in a waiting vehicle. Investigators have released snippets of the surveillance footage in hopes that members of the public might recognize the suspects' physical builds or the getaway vehicle.

Law enforcement is urging anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the five suspects to contact the Fort Myers Police Department or submit an anonymous tip through Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. A reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
