Second Break-In in One Week Leaves Fresno Wig Shop Owner Contemplating Closure
FRESNO, California โ The owner of a local Fresno wig shop is facing an uncertain future and contemplating closing down the business permanently after it was burglarized twice in the span of a single week.
The second break-in occurred on Friday, December 19, 2025, just days after the store was first targeted on December 16. The double hit has dealt a devastating blow to the business, both financially and emotionally.
A Business in Jeopardy
Having to clean up shattered glass and tally stolen merchandise for the second time in less than seventy-two hours has taken a severe toll. The owner expressed deep frustration and sadness, noting that the mounting costs of repairs, security upgrades, and lost inventory make continuing operations highly difficult.
"It is heartbreaking to build a business that serves the community, only to have it targeted repeatedly," the owner shared. The shop is well-known in the local area for providing wig customization services, often assisting patients experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions.
Investigation Ongoing
Fresno police are actively investigating both incidents. Detectives are examining surveillance footage from both nights to determine if the same group of perpetrators is responsible for both burglaries. Business owners in the surrounding area are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious nighttime activity to the authorities.
