Bizarre Break-In at Greensboro Popeyes: Suspect Cooks Food Before Fleeing

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Local authorities are investigating a highly unusual break-in at a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Greensboro. According to police reports, an unidentified suspect gained unauthorized access to the restaurant during the early hours of May 22, 2026.

Instead of targeting the cash register or safe, the intruder went straight to the kitchen. Surveillance footage reportedly captured the suspect using the commercial kitchen equipment to cook a meal for themselves before departing the scene.
