Woodruff Road Store Robbery: Five Suspects Threaten Clerk, Greenville Deputies Investigate

GREENVILLE, South Carolina — Law enforcement officials in Greenville County are investigating an armed robbery that occurred along Woodruff Road, where five male suspects threatened a store clerk before fleeing the scene with merchandise.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on October 23, 2024. Investigators report that the five individuals entered the retail establishment together. Once inside, they confronted the store employee, making threats to their safety to facilitate the theft. Although threats of violence were made, no injuries were reported during the encounter.

Deputies arrived shortly after the suspects fled. K-9 units and patrol officers searched the surrounding area, but the suspects had already left the scene. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the store and neighboring businesses along Woodruff Road to identify the individuals involved.

Woodruff Road is one of Greenville's busiest commercial districts, and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area around 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, to contact the Greenville County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers of Greenville.
