Pitt County Detectives Seek Public's Help in Greenville Store Armed Robbery Investigation

GREENVILLE, NC — The Pitt County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance from the public as detectives work to identify and locate a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a local retail store in the Greenville area on February 25, 2026.

Investigators report that an unidentified individual entered the commercial establishment, brandished a weapon, and demanded cash from the store employee. After obtaining an undisclosed sum of money, the suspect fled the premises. Fortunately, no store staff or customers were injured during the encounter.

Pitt County detectives have been collecting security footage from the store and surrounding businesses in an effort to piece together the suspect's description and potential escape route. Law enforcement has released descriptions of the individual and is encouraging anyone with information or surveillance footage from the vicinity to come forward immediately.
