Two Suspects Arrested for Robbery and Narcotics Possession at Hesperia Target

HESPERIA, CA — Two suspects are behind bars following a robbery and drug possession incident at the Target department store in Hesperia on Wednesday.

Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Hesperia Station responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the retailer on Main Street. Loss prevention officers reported that two suspects had selected merchandise and attempted to exit the store without paying. When confronted, the suspects used force to escape, elevating the crime to robbery.

Deputies arrived quickly and intercepted the suspects as they attempted to flee the shopping center. During a search incident to the arrest, deputies recovered the stolen Target merchandise and discovered that the suspects were also in possession of illegal narcotics, including suspected methamphetamine and associated drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects were taken into custody and booked into the High Desert Detention Center. They face charges of robbery, grand theft, conspiracy, and possession of a controlled substance. The stolen items were returned to Target management, and no injuries were reported during the physical altercation.
