Vandals Sought in Hesperia School Break-In Investigation

HESPERIA, CA (March 28, 2024) — Local authorities are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a group of vandals who broke into Maple Elementary School and caused substantial property damage earlier this week.

According to the Hesperia School Police Department, the break-in took place on Monday, March 25, 2024, between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. At the time of the incident, the campus was completely empty as students and staff were away on spring break. Security camera footage captured three individuals entering the school property and committing acts of vandalism across the campus.

School district representatives confirmed that the damage caused by the intruders is significant, requiring immediate repairs before classes resume. Detectives are currently reviewing high-definition security footage and asking anyone who noticed suspicious activity near the school premises on March 25 to contact investigators immediately.
