Houston Smoke Shop Targeted on Northwest Freeway in Serial Robbery Spree

HOUSTON, Texas — A serial robbery investigation is underway after a group of four armed female suspects targeted a smoke shop in northwest Houston, just an hour after committing a similar heist in nearby Deer Park. The Houston Police Department's Robbery Division has released surveillance footage and is requesting community assistance to identify the perpetrators.

The second robbery occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on June 27, 2025, at a smoke shop located in the 12100 block of the Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290). HPD investigators report that the four female suspects entered the business in a coordinated fashion. One of the suspects stood guard at the front door to monitor the entrance, while the other three proceeded directly toward the counter to confront the store employee. Two of the women then brandished handguns, demanding cash from the register.

After successfully obtaining cash and various retail merchandise, the group fled the scene together in an unidentified getaway vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the encounter. Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the arrest or charging of these suspects.
