HPD Searching for Suspects in West Houston Shooting and Robbery

HOUSTON, Texas — The Houston Police Department is searching for suspects who shot and robbed a man in west Houston on Saturday afternoon. The incident has raised concern among local residents regarding violent crimes in the area.

According to police reports, officers responded to a call regarding a shooting at a west Houston location. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics immediately transported the victim to a nearby trauma center, where he is currently in stable condition and expected to recover.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the victim was approached by at least two armed suspects who demanded his personal property. During the altercation, one of the suspects discharged a firearm, striking the victim. The suspects then seized the victim's valuables and fled the scene in a getaway vehicle before officers arrived.

HPD detectives are reviewing surveillance footage from nearby businesses and interviewing potential witnesses to establish descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle. No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
