Two Suspects Arrested After $6,000 Stolen in Indianapolis Home Invasion

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has taken two suspects into custody following a home invasion robbery on the city's east side, where victims were robbed of approximately $6,000 in cash.

According to initial police reports, officers responded to a residential address after receiving reports of an active break-in. Upon arrival, officers learned that multiple individuals had forced entry into the residence, confronting the occupants. The suspects threatened the residents and demanded money before ransacking the home and fleeing the scene with $6,000.

Using description details provided by the victims and surveillance footage from neighboring residences, IMPD officers were able to locate and intercept a vehicle matching the description of the suspects' getaway car. Following a brief traffic stop, two suspects were detained and subsequently arrested. Investigators successfully recovered a significant portion of the stolen funds during the search.

Both suspects are currently being held at the Marion County Jail and face charges of burglary, armed robbery, and theft. The investigation remains ongoing as police look into whether the suspects are linked to other recent home invasions in the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
